The book vividly recounts the life story of Kong Fansen, a model official of the Communist Party of China, in the form of reportage literature. Kong, often likened to Lei Feng of the 1990s and Jiao Yulu of the new era, devoted himself to working in Tibet three times, even though each stint involved life-threatening challenges. He never regretted his choices. Kong worked with passion for ten years and ultimately died in the service of the people. His dedication and courage in overcoming numerous obstacles during tough times have made him a celebrated hero of peacetime. His remarkable achievements are now a cherished part of the nations collective memory. His qualities of sincerity, responsibility, great love, and selflessness are among the core values embraced by the Communist Party of China, forming a key part of the Chinese national spirit.

For an ordinary person, the highest form of love is the love for others, while for a member of the Communist Party of China, it is the love for the Chinese people.

Gao Shan is former director of the Kong Fansen Memorial Hall and former vice chairman of the Liaocheng Writers Association. He currently holds several roles at Liaocheng Vocational and Technical College: chairman of the Social Science Federation, deputy director and secretary-general of the Working Committee of Care for the Next Generation, honorary dean of the School of Marxism, and distinguished expert of the Kong Fansen Spirit and Revolutionary Culture Research Institute. He is also a member of the Chinese Reportage Association and the Shandong Writers Association, as well as a director of the Shandong Reportage Association. Gaos works have earned multiple awards such as the Shandong Provincial Literary and Art Excellence Award, and some of his essays are featured in Chinese language exams for middle schools.
