《悦读联播美文精选》（高中）系列丛书是外研社在大量严谨、认真的调研基础上，以2017版新课标为依据，策划出版的英语读物。在高中学段，本套书共分六册，每学期一册。
本书建议高一上学期使用。语篇主题紧紧围绕学生日常生活，涉及人际关系、学习方法、文化常识、科普知识、流行文化等话题，体裁包含故事、书信、日记、记叙文、说明文等。

1. 根据2017版新课标编写，可作为各版本课标教材(人教、北师、外研)的配套读物使用。
2. 契合中国学生学习特点和应试需要，读物符合中国学生英语学习特点和规律，满足高考、剑桥通用五级考试等应试需要。
3. 该书配光盘，文后附生词表、长难句注释，设置What-How-Why多层次问答题和任务写作(均附参考答案)，特别增加高考“读后续写”题型的练习，帮助学生深入理解文本，检测自学效果，巩固课堂学习成果。
4. 选篇多元、语言地道。选材出自英语经典名篇和当代社会热门话题。除英语名篇和主流报刊文章，中方编写团队还从网络媒体选取热门话题和时尚元素，邀请外方作者根据新课标主题撰写文章，确保语言规范、地道、真实。
5. 话题贴合实际生活，题材涉猎广泛。除天文、地理、自然科学、文史、社会文化，还包括年轻人喜爱的体育、时尚和流行文化；囊括对话、小说、传记、新闻报道、科学小品等各类体裁。
