本书是分《陕西文化发展报告（2018）》的英文版，为总报告、宏观视野篇、行业报告篇、公共文化篇、区域报告篇和大事记六个部分，在对2017年陕西文化发展的整体状况与趋势进行深入分析的基础上，跟踪陕西公共文化及文化产业的发展热点，解析陕西文化各领域的发展趋势并提出了相应的对策和建议；同时，对陕西区域文化发展做了研究，为陕西文化产业发展提供了前瞻性参考。

Abstract The Annual Report on Culture of Shaanxi (2018) is an authoritative research report and the tenth blue book of culture compiled by the Shaanxi Academy of Social Sciences. It consists of .ve parts: General Report, Overview, Industry Report, Public Culture and the Chronicle of Events. The General Report comprehensively summarizes the status quo and achievements of Shaanxi cultural development in 2017. It also explores trends in the development of major cultural industries as well as local culture in Shaanxi, and offers suggestions to promote further development of cultural programs and industries in Shaanxi. The Overview is an in-depth discussion of problems concerning the “One Body Six Wings” supply-side structural reform of Xi’an public libraries; the development of Shaanxi cultural service industry based on the classification of culture and relevant industries; the fresh momentum of the development of Shaanxi cultural industry; the building of a Shaanxi public cultural service network; and the protection and utilization of cultural resources at historic sites of the Han Dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE) and Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Shaanxi. The Industry Report contains research and analysis on the current status of the cultural industries in Shaanxi Province. Topics covered in this section include the organization and reconstruction of industrial heritage spaces in Shaanxi and the development of innovative cultural products for Shaanxi museums. Additionally, it draws inspiration on the development of traditional cultural resources from folk culture tourism in Guanzhong City. Other topics in this section concern the development of new media in Shaanxi mobile government, method of developing cultural resources and characteristic towns in Shaanxi Province, development of documentaries about Shaanxi and the digitization of Shaanxi tablet inscriptions. This section also covers topics corcerning Shaanxi intangible cultural heritage such as Jingyang Fuzhuan Brick Tea, the signi.cance of Chinese cultural identity to intercultural communication and the innovative development and brand building of Le Le Qu, a children’s book produced by Rongxin Education Group. The Industry Report provides suggestions for these projects, as well as solutions for speci.c problems that may arise. The Public Culture provides in-depth research on achievements made in the study of Shaanxi tablet inscriptions; the current status, protection and inheritance of Shaanxi folk literature and culture; public culture in local communities such as the Yangling Demonstration Zone in 2017; and the construction of rural libraries in Shaanxi province.

李琴，英语语言文学硕士，比较文学专业博士，英国剑桥大学英语学院访问学者，陕西省第七批“百人计划”青年项目入选人，现为西安外国语大学不错翻译学院教授。研究方向为比较文学、翻译理论与实践。著有《新世纪中国翻译文学研究》、《中国翻译文学与本土文学的互动关系研究》等，主编《外交新闻汉英翻译》等教材，主持国家社科基金项目、教育部人文社会科学研究项目、教育部留学回国人员科研启动金项目等。 任宗哲，男，汉族，1964年4月生，陕西千阳人，1984年6月加入中国共产党，博士研究生学历，西北大学党委常委、副校长，教授、博士生导师。现任陕西省文化厅厅长 ，陕西省社会科学院院长，党组书记，陕西省第十三届委员会候补委员。
