《英语（高职高专英语专业适用）（第二版）泛读教程》（以下简称《泛读》）系普通高等职业教育“十二五”国家级规划教材的立项项目。 《英语（第2版）泛读教程（4 高职高专英语专业适用）》是适用高职高专英语专业的立体化系列教材之一。教材内容以经济商务类的话题为主。共含14个单元，每单元由3个部分组成，其中，第1个部分为主课，第2个部分为补充教材，第3个部分为任务型练习。作为主课的第1篇课文含“阅读提问”、“课文”、“注释”、“阅读理解”、“阅读理解练习”、“词汇解意练习”和“语境提示练习”等内容。在第4、8、12单元之后附有“阅读技巧”的介绍和练习，在第14单元后附有“模拟测试”一套，用以提高阅读能力和检测学习效果。
