本书为庆贺考古学家白云翔先生七十华诞而作。书中共收录论文27篇、附录3篇。论文均为首次发表，内容以中、日、韩等东亚地区古代文明及相关问题的考古学研究为主，涉及都城、墓葬等各类遗迹，以及陶器、铜器、铁器、服饰、钱币、瓦当、封泥、帛画、医药器具等各类遗物，还有边疆民族考古、美术考古、中外文化交流、文化遗产保护、科技及实验考古等研究领域。附录分别为白云翔先生传略、访谈及迄今为止的论著目录。

1992—1996就读于扬州大学获学士学位、2000—2003年四川大学获硕士学位，2008—2011年在中国社会科学院研究生院攻读考古学，获历史学博士学位2003年到中国社会科学院考古研究所工作，现任中国社会科学院考古研究所研究员、汉唐考古研究室主任、西南第二工作队队长，中国社会科学院大学历史学院教授、博士生导师，中国考古学会理事，中国秦汉史研究会理事，亚洲铸造技术史学会会员。考古学出版《战国秦汉时期云贵高原考古学文化研究》（独著）、《陆良薛官堡墓地》（主编）、《师宗大园子墓地》（主编）、《临淄齐故城冶铸业考古》（副主编）、《鉴出齐都：山东临淄汉代铜镜与镜范的考古学研究》（副主编）等多部学术专著或考古报告专刊。在《考古》《考古学报》《文物》《东南文化》《华夏考古》《中原文物》《南方文物》《四川文物》《人民日报》《中国社会科学报》《中国文物报》等刊物及有关学术论文集发表论文、考古简报及各类学术文章80余篇。专著《战国秦汉时期云贵高原考古学文化研究》获第九届中国社会科学院优秀科研成果奖二等奖。
